I accidentally came across these salmon attempting to swim up river. I was going to the water’s edge to get some shots of what I thought was water splashing over rocks. Imagine my surprise to actually see fish, and salmon at that trying to swim up river to spawn, I hope they made it to their spawning ground since the water level was quite low. We had not had much rain for a couple of weeks.

I spent 2 days watching the salmon trying to swim up stream. it was pretty cool to watch, but sad to see them struggle through low water. I wanted to just pick them up and transport them to deeper water.

agree with Jim; very cool photo and also agree with you about how sad it was to see them struggle. I guess all living things have to struggle to survive.

I could “see” the human race in this same kind of struggle. Some people seem to spend their whole life going against the flow for whatever reason.
